Youth Development Groups:
In addition to classroom presentations, we facilitate small multi-session psycho-educational youth development groups with students. Groups are 5-8 weekly sessions and can extend through the semester or year. The safety of a smaller group allows comprehensive learning when discussing sensitive topics such as healthy relationships, goal setting, stress management, unplanned pregnancy prevention, safer sex methods, STI transmission, and prevention, etc.
Programs for Parents
myHealth actively supports parents with children of all ages who want to stay actively engaged in their child’s life. The chance a young person will make healthier choices as a teen or young adult increases when parents create a strong foundation of communication about family values and expectations alongside accurate and age-appropriate information. To that end, we provide a variety of parent education opportunities. Yearly, myHealth’s educators present parenting information and resources to hundreds of parents. Schedule a class for your friend’s group, faith community, PTO group, or book club!
